We’ll depart from Raleigh, NC to Tel Aviv via Atlanta. Dinner and breakfast will be served during the flight.

Upon arrival in Israel we will drive to our hotel in Tel Aviv. Dinner and Sabbath service at Dan Panorama hotel, located near the beach.

Day 3: Caesarea, Usphia, Haifa.

We will start our day by visiting Caesarea, one of the cities built by King Herod. Caesarea, was a port city with water canals, a theater and a hippodrome. We’ll Visit the old city and watch a new presentation that explains about the Roman way of life. Then, we will visit Usphia, a Druze village on Mount Carmel, learn about the Druze people and the treaty with the state of Israel, enjoy a Druze light lunch and folklore dancing. We will proceed to visit the Bahai Temple,, and walk down the Mount Carmel through the amazing Bahai gardens to visit the reconstructed German Colony. Overnight stay at Dan Panorama hotel in Haifa.

Day 4: Acco Tzefat, Hula Valley

Hagoshrim Kibbutz

Upon arriving to Acco, we will tour the old city of Acco with it’s Mediterranean shore. The amazing last discoveries show that under the houses and the buildings of today’s old city lay large parts of a covered Crusaders’ city. Our tour in Acco will follow those important and unbelievable underground Crusaders’ buildings. We’ll continue to Tzefat, visit a few of the ancient synagogues which were built back in the 16th century and tour the old city alleys, including the artisan’s quarter. During the afternoon we will tour Hula Valley  , drive or ride a bike between thousands of birds that stop for the night near the lake. We’ll proceed to learn and meet the settlers who built and live in a kibbutz. Dinner and overnight stay in Hagoshrim, a kibbutz and resort hotel.

Day 5: Qazrin, Golan Height Winery, Mount Bental, Kibbutz El-Rom, Tel Dan.

This day will start in the city of Qazrin. We’ll visit the Golan Height Winery- the famous “Jordan wine” producer. There we will learn about the produce process and enjoy the tasting of several excellent wines that are produced there. We’ll continue to Ancient Qasrin where we will tell the stories of the Bashan congregations, in the period that follows the destruction of Gamla and other Jewish settlements of the north by the Romans on their way to Jerusalem. We will watch the “Talmudic Experience”, a presentation about an interesting Sanhedrin judgment and discussion. We’ll Proceed to Mount Bental and walk in its outpost trenches, go down to the ammunition bunker, and observe Syria. We will proceed to Kibbutz El-Rom and watch a movie about the experience of a regiment commander and his tank crew in the Yom Kippur War. Continue to Tel Dan Nature Reserve. In Tel Dan we will enjoy the beautiful and tranquil park trails, visit biblical Dan, its altar, the Canaanite Gate, and the ancient flour grinders. Overnight stay in Hagoshrim, a kibbutz and resort hotel.

Day 6: Boat Ride, Meeting with the IDF Soldiers, Jordan Valley, Qumran. Jerusalem

Our day will start with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Then, we will drive through the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea. During this day we will meet with IDF soldiers (the exact place and time will be cordinated with temple representative according to the IDF availability).  We’ll continue to one of the most important places in Israel; Qumran. In Qumran we will tell the amazing story of the Dead Sea scrolls’ discovery. We’ll try to answer questions like: who wrote the scrolls? Who were the Essences? How did they live and why there?. Dinner and overnight stay at Moriah Classic Hotel in Jerusalem

Day 7: Jerusalem.

We’ll start with a breathtaking panoramic view of the old city from Mount Olive. We’ll visit the Temple Mount and have the opportunity to see El-Aqsa mosque and the  Dome of the Rock. We’ll enjoy a visit to Davidson Center and its wonderful Virtual Second Temple Model, visit Hulda Gates, the southern wall and watch the pilgrimage movie. In the afternoon we will visit the  Western Wall and Zion Mount. Overnight stay at Moriah Classic Hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 8: The Dead Sea, Massada, Ein Gedi, Jerusalem.

Afer breakfast we’ll drive to the Judea Desert. First we’ll visit the main sites on Massada Mount: the Western Palace, the huge wells, the Roman Ramp, the bathhouse, and the impressive Northern Palace.  In the synagogue we’ll tell about the amazing archives found in the synagogue. Then, we’ll Continue to the oasis of Ein Gedi, a nature reserve. We will learn there about King David, the wild animal life of the Judea Desert and have the chance to enjoy the water. After floating on the Dead Sea, We’ll drive to Abraham tent in the desert. Upon arriving in Abraham tent we will have the chance to ride on a camel, learn about the desert people hospitality and enjoy a unique dinner. Overnight stay at Moriah Classic Hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 9: Jerusalem

Our day starts in Yad Vashem we will visit the children’s Memorial, Avenue of the Righteous, Among the Nations, the Hall of Remembrance, and the new historic museum. Proceed to Herzl Mount and learn about Theodor Herzl: founder of modern Zionism and foreteller of the Jewish nation state. Continue to the Knesset, the Israeli parliament to tell the story of the embossment on the Menorah statue. Visiting Ben Yehuda Market  when colors, smells and voices combine to a special expeirnce is recommended on Friday afternoon. Nahalat Hashivah is a pedestrian-only street and on Fridays artistes show and sell their arts on the street. We will be back at the hotel for dinner and Sabbath service. Dinner and overnight stay at Moriah Classic Hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 10: Jerusalem, Jaffa.

We will take the charming Walls Trail from Jaffa Gate to Zion Gate and enjoy unique vantage points on both the old and the new city of Jerusalem.  We’ll walk through the charming alleys of the Jewish Quarter and visit the Roman Cardo and Madaba Map. Our tour in the old city will take us to the Church of the Holy Sepulchure and Damascus Gate through the old city market, an unforgettable cultural experience. We’ll drive to the old city of Jaffa, walk through the charming alleys and hear the unique stories of the old city. Well proceed to the airport for the night flight to Raleigh via Atlanta.
