Yohay Avrahami - Senior Tour Guide
Yohay was born in Israel, and as is typical of a "Tzabara" (Israeli born), he is deeply attached to his country. Yet, like many Israelis, he spent several years abroad, hiking the roads of North America and South America where he learned Spanish and Portuguese.
Yohay earned a BA in Israel History and Geography from Bar-Ilan University and is thus profoundly aware of Israel’s unique spiritual bound with the Christian and Judaic cultures. As a tour guide, he has found a balance between his two great passions, that is, sharing his knowledge about Israel with others and interacting with people from other cultures and countries.
Yohay has been working with Yael Adventures since 1992 and specializes with pilgrimage tourism from North and South America. Over the years he has developed a unique approach to guiding, one that uses books of literature, poetry and history to shape the narration of his treks through Israel. He is, not surprisingly, highly regarded by clients and colleagues alike.
