Upon arrival in Israel (09:15AM) you
will be met by our representative to walk you through customs. Drive to the
old city of
Jaffa and to walk through the charming alleys
where the Church and Monastery of Saint Peter reside. We will proceed to
Caesarea,
a
Roman
city with many archeological remains
such as the theater, the hippodrome and the city gate and enjoy the
computerized exhibitions of the city in Roman times. Caesarea is the place
where
Paul and Peter
were
held in prison before being
taken to Rome. Visit
Mount Carmel
where the biblical story of the
confrontation between
Prophet Elijah
and the Ba’al prophets
took place and overlook the valley of
Armageddon (Rev
16:14-16). Dinner and
overnight stay in Haifa. |

3: Haifa, Acco, Nazareth, Cana,

We will visit the
Baha'is Temple
with it’s beautiful 19 gardened terraces on
Mount Carmel
and
the
German Colony in
Haifa
with it’s reconstructed buildings from the 19th
century and enjoy what makes Haifa special and
different. Discover a crusaders’ buried city under today’s city in the port
city of
Acco and drive to
Cana
where the wedding miracle took place. Proceed to the Church of the
Annunciation in
Nazareth
where the
angel Gabriel
foretold the birth of Jesus. Time
permitting: we will visit Mount Tabor and learn about the
transfiguration
of Jesus and the proof given by God, “This is my son, whom I love; with him
I’m well pleased. Listen to him” (Matt
17:1-13). Dinner and overnight stay
in Tiberius. |

Day 4:
Sea of Galilee, Jordan River, Caesarea Philippi. |

After sailing on the
Sea of Galilee,
we visit
Capernaum
and have a remarkable Bible study in the synagogue where Jesus preached.
We’ll proceed to the Church of Multiplication in
Tabgha,
where the Lord preformed the miracle of the
Loaves and Fishes.
Enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee from
Mount of Beatitudes,
where Jesus taught the Beatitudes. When we come to the banks of the
Jordan, some of our
group will be able to dip themselves seven times in the Jordan, just as
Naaman, the Syrian leper did about 2,860 years ago (2
Kings 5:1-17). The afternoon will be dedicated to
Caesarea Philippi where
Peter confessed Christ: “You are the Christ, the son
of the living God” (Matt
16:15-16). Dinner and overnight stay in Tiberius. |

Day 5:
The Dead Sea, Massada, Jerusalem. |

This day will be
dedicated to the
Dead Sea area.
We’ll drive through the
Judean Desert
to
Qumran
where the
Dead Sea scrolls were uncovered. In Qumran we will try to answer
questions like: Who wrote the scrolls? Who were the Essenes? Continue to
Massada,
the last stronghold of the Jews during the grate revolt, 2000 years ago. How
much is a man willing to sacrifice for his freedom? We’ll learn about the
dramatic story of almost one thousand men, women and children who committed
suicide in order to avoid Roman slavery. We’ll visit the archeological
remains of the palace, the bathhouse, the walls and enjoy the amazing view
of the Dead Sea. We will proceed to bathe in the Dead Sea with its famous
mud.
Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.

Day 6: Jerusalem,
Bethlehem. |

Our morning starts on
Mount of Olives with a
breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem. The day continues with visits to
the sites that will help us understand the Lord’s prophecy of Jerusalem:
The
Chapel of Dominus Flevit, where Christ prophesied the destruction of
Jerusalem (Luke
19:41), The Garden of Gethsemane (Luke
22:39-53) and The Church of the Agony (
Church of All Nations) - the site where it is said that Judas betrayed
Jesus. We will Proceed to visit sites on
Mt. Zion:
St. Peter in Gallicantu
Church which was built over the ruins of the Palace of Caiaphas - the High
Priest before whom Jesus was brought for trial (Mark
14:
53-65).
We’ll visit the
Tomb of King David
and have communion in the
Upper Room—the
site that commemorates Jesus’ last meal with his disciples. Our day will end
by visiting the amazing
Church of the Nativity
in
Bethlehem, the birth
place of Christ. |

Day 7: Jerusalem. |

Our day will begin with
an exciting tour to the site where much of the Bible was written, The
City
of King David. In
this place archeologists found
King Hezekiah's
2,700 year old water tunnel, one of the wonders of early engineering and the
seal impression of Gemariah son of
Shaphan possibly the scribe of King Zedekiah (Jeremiah
36:10). Continue to the
Pool of Siloam
where Christ healed the blind man by sending him to wash his eyes (John
9). In the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem
we will explore the Roman Cardo, the
Madaba Map,
the Western Wall and
Davidson Center
with its amazing virtual model of the second temple. On the
Temple
Mount we’ll hear about the traders driven out of the temple by Jesus (Luke
19:45-48), explore the
Dome of the Rock
and other famous buildings. Continue to
Bethesda
where Christ healed the paralyzed man (John
5). Our journey through the
Via Dolorosa
(The Way of the Cross) stations will end by visiting the amazing
Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
We’ll walk through the old city market to
Damascus Gate
and
Garden Tomb.

Day 8: Jerusalem. |

Drive to the
Israel Museum to visit the
miniature
Model of the city
of Jerusalem from the times of the Second Temple. The model is a scaled
reconstruction (1:50) of Jerusalem and the Temple at 66 CE, before the great
rebellion and the destruction. After visiting a
historic museum in
Jerusalem, we’ll continue to
Ein Kerem,
a charming picturesque neighborhood surrounded by forests and characterized
by small stone houses, visit Mary’s Spring and hear the story of Mary who
drank from the spring while visiting Elizabeth – John the Baptist’s mother (Luke
1: 39-49) We shall continue to
John the Baptist Monastery
and tour the monastery and the church which researchers believe were first
built by Saint Helena 1700 years ago. Our day will end in Ein Kerem with
free time in its charming cafés. We will drive to the airport for our
flight to the U.S. |
